GOD COULDN’T BE EVERYWHERE
So he gave us mothers

As the commercial focus this month is very definitely on Mother’s Day and Easter Eggs our thoughts turn to the mothers who need our support in Rwanda and Uganda.
The mothers there are really no different from us, although many of their challenges seem so very alien to us; cooking on open fires and washing clothes in streams or bowls of water for example; they take these challenges in their stride, thankful always to God for their health and their families. Their financial struggles, however, are something which many of us can relate to, along with the desire for our children to do well, receive a good education and succeed in life, all are definitely global maternal wishes.

Without a doubt, God has placed a mother’s love for her child in every culture.
African mothers deeply value education and fully understand the changes it can bring, but many lack the financial means to give their children this start. For many families school fees, uniforms, school materials and school lunches are simply beyond reach – not because of lack of care but lack of resources. This is not about unwilling parents – it is about limited opportunity.

By sponsoring a child, you stand with a mother who wants her son or daughter to learn and grow – discovering the rich gifts God has given them.
This is where sponsorship can answer a mother’s prayer helping her child to flourish. By sponsoring a child you walk alongside the family, supporting the child and reminding the whole family that they are not forgotten. Their hopes are being prayed for and supported by someone they do not even know but who shares the same faith in God.

TWO OF OUR CHILDREN WHO ARE WAITING FOR A SPONSOR ...
(MORE CAN BE FOUND ON THE SPONSORSHIP PAGES OF THIS WEBSITE)

UGA350 - Haman Nsibirwa
Haman is 7 years old and lives with his parents and 2 younger sisters.
His father has no qualifications and struggles to find work, he works in construction when he can.
He enjoys school when his parents can afford the fees.
He enjoys playing football with his friends.
Like many young lads he dreams of becoming a policeman when he is older, but knows this is fully dependant on him gaining a good education.

UGA357 Joshua Manzi
Joshua is 9 years old. He is bright and loves being in school. He lives with his parents, two sisters and two brothers. They are very poor and struggle to put food on the table and pay the rent.
He feels sad when he sees his father begging the school for help with fees so he can remain in school. Joshua cannot move up the classes without finishing the year, and getting a report. With insufficient attendance due to lack of fees he cannot get his report. His father really tries to keep him in school.
Joshua is a confident, sociable lad and wants to become a teacher when he is older.
Sponsorship would certainly brighten Joshua's day!
Maybe this Mother’s Day you can turn a mother’s prayer into
a child’s future.
Or maybe you could share this message with your friends or church?
Sharing is caring!
