A Lasting Legacy

What will yours be?

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."  Matthew 6:20

Death is a difficult topic for many people to think about. However, it is important to plan for the future.  If you don’t have a will or next of kin, your estate will pass to the Crown, so it is well worth making sure you have a will in place to ensure your wishes are carried out and loved ones cared for.

Supporters often ask us about leaving us a legacy as part of their will, to carry on making a difference in the world.  This is powerful way to continue supporting the life-changing work of Christian Hope International.  We are truly grateful for the legacies we have received and that have funded many projects already.

Leaving a legacy can also offer significant tax benefits. Your charitable donation does not count toward the taxable value of your estate. You can therefore cut the overall amount of inheritance tax paid by leaving a gift to Christian Hope.  Did you know that if you leave at least 10% of your estate to a charity in your will, you can also cut the percentage the taxman takes in inheritance tax from 40% to 36% on the remainder of the estate?  No matter how large or small your gift, it will make a difference. And, by including CHI in your will, you can ensure that a legacy of hope will live on.
