Yvan lives with his mother and baby sister. His father abandoned them and his mother struggles to meet the basic needs of the family. Yvan enjoys traditional dance and likes to eat meat, rice and french fries.
They live in dire poverty and Yvan's greatest wish is to stay in school and achieve well so that he can buy his mother a house, look after her and keep her comfortable.

Once you have signed up to sponsor a child, we will send you more information about the child, the area they live and go to school in and how to correspond with them. Many of our supporters want to know how they can give more support and we will outline this as well, although there is absolutely no obligation to do so and we won't keep asking you.
