Jannette is cared for by her mother who has no regular work, her father died when she was young. The family live in a simple home which has electricity and running water. She helps at home by mopping the veranda.
Jannette has a learning disability. Which affects her capacity to understand what is going on in class, her levels of concentration are very low compared to other children of her age. Nevertheless, she is making progress through Primary School. She enjoys dancing and would like to be a Teacher.
