Day PupilDerrick lives with his parents and siblings. The are a poor family. His father works as a night watchman earning a small and inconsistent income. His mother washes clothes to help support the family. Despite their hard work the money they make is barely enough to cover the family needs. Derrick would like to attend school regularly but his parents are unable to pay the school fees.
