Charles Bukenya
DoB 14th August 2005. Charles lives with his grandmother but spends term time at the ALS school. He was affected by Cerebral Malaria at the age of 2 and struggles with communication, although he can follow simple instructions. He was isolated indoors at home for fear he may wander and become lost. He has a good appetite and enjoys music. Enrolment at the Aunt Louise School has enabled him to learn new skills, socialise and make friends. Charles’s needs are such that a co-sponsorship is required to cover the ever increasing costs and to ensure he receives vital medication and a healthy, nutritious diet. Can you help ensure funding is available for him? This is a shared sponsorship
Transaction Fees
Because the child benefits from the full £20 per month sponsorship, we have included the transaction fees we incur through our website payment processor. You can sponsor directly through the office and pay via standing order to avoid this fee.
Your Welcome Pack
Once you have signed up to sponsor a child, we will send you more information about the child, the area they live and go to school in and how to correspond with them. Many of our supporters want to know how they can give more support and we will outline this as well, although there is absolutely no obligation to do so, and we won't keep asking you.
Aunt Louise School
The Children at this school have often been abandoned and have nowhere else to go. They have complex physical and mental needs, and because there is no welfare system in Uganda they are extremely vulnerable.
At ALS they are welcomed as one of God's dearly loved children. The School isn't run by trained medical professionals but the children have a home, a family and are cared for.
The cost of basic needs, food and basic medication requires sponsorship to be higher for these children.
Shared Sponsorship
Due to the additional needs of the ALS children sponsorship is £40 per month, however we are happy to facilitate sharing your sponsorship with another sponsor. If this would be of interest to you please contact the office any Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday 01277 500242 or email: accounts@christianhope.org.uk and we will be happy to help you.
