Opening a container Stitches of Hope collection

Over the past 14 years we have send around 70 Containers to many different counties in Europe, Africa and India. They have contained everything from a plough and motorbikes to full classrooms of desks and chairs to pens and pencils for school children. click here to view our list of needed items for our next container. We have also sent shipments of medicines, car parts and knitting machines by air. Currently we send 2 containers a year to Africa.

Knitting for others is a ministry widely supported in the UK. Over the years we have sent innumerable items out to Africa, India & Eastern Europe.

We recently sent a further consignment of knitted clothes and blankets to orphanages in Eastern Europe and 13 boxes of soft toys - representing thousands of hours of knitting! There is always a need for knitted garments and blankets. Please click here for a pattern or knitting ideas.

As time passed, it became obvious that new school rooms were an excellent idea, but the poorest children could not attend schools as the fees could be paid. CHI, though UK donors, sponsors over 240 children through school. Giving them a chance to succeed.

This is an ongoing mission. Click here for more details.
