Swalle MATOVU
Lives in: Masaka, Uganda
Date of Birth: Unknown
School year: Primary
Siblings: Unknown
Swalle was found abandoned and brought to the Aunt Louise School for Disabled Children, he is about 5 years old. Sadly, it is all too common for severely disabled children to be abandoned. He suffers from Autism and Cerebral Palsy which renders him unable to walk. Swalle is easily upset and will cry for no aparent reason, he is also prone to hit himself. Despite this, when he is not angry he enjoys being with the other children at ALS who are now his family.
Shared sponsorship is available - please see below
Shared Sponsorship
Due to the additional needs of the ALS children sponsorship is £40 per month, however we are happy to facilitate sharing your sponsorship with another sponsor. If this would be of interest to you please contact the office any Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday 01708 377795 or email: accounts@christianhope.org.uk and we will be happy to help you.
Your Welcome Pack
Once you have signed up to sponsor a child, we will send you more information about the child, the area they live and go to school in and how to correspond with them. Many of our supporters want to know how they can give more support and we will outline this as well, although there is absolutely no obligation to do so, and we won't keep asking you.
Aunt Louise School
The Children at this school have often been abandoned and have nowhere else to go. They have complex physical and mental needs, and because there is no welfare system in Uganda they are extremely vulnerable.
At ALS they are welcomed as one of God's dearly loved children. The School isn't run by trained medical professionals but the children have a home, a family and are cared for.
The cost of basic needs, food and basic medication requires sponsorship to be higher for these children.
Transaction Fee
Because the child benefits from the full monthly sponsorship, we have included the transaction fees we incur through our website payment processor. You can sponsor directly through the office and pay via standing order to avoid this fee.
