Nurse +

Facts:

  • There is only 1 nurse for every 2,500 people in Rwanda or 1,430 people in Uganda, compared to an average in the whole of Africa of 1 for every 900 people.
  • Nurses in Africa not only provide general health care, advice and immunisation, they are increasingly involved in HIV/Aids treatment.

We have been working successfully on projects in partnership with Clinics in Rwanda and Uganda for many years. They would dearly love to add another nurse to their teams. They could then make a greater impact, not only in the clinic, but also in the community to prevent malnutrition, improve hygiene and treat those suffering from TB and HIV/Aids

As this project involves employment, CHI intends to provide funding for at least one year. Obviously, we would hope to continue for much longer. Would you or your group be prepared to make a regular payment (any sum)  or a single donation towards this project? It may even be something that your church or work colleagues would like to get involved with.

As part of the Nurse + scheme the nurse would write to supporters three times a year to let them know how things are going, the joys, the challenges and the prayer needs. Supporters would, if they wished, be able to write back.

What would it cost? Well, if 31 people committed just £6 each every month we could provide a nurse. Could you help us support one or even two!!

To make a donation to this project please click the link, if you would like to make a regular commitment please contact the office and a standing order form will be sent to you.
