Container Aid

Our aim is to alleviate suffering

This can be done in many ways, some immediate and short term, some longer term requiring a commitment over server al years. Sending aid via containers has always been one of the best ways of achieving this both in the short and long term.

Christian Hope International started life as "Containers of Hope".

So sending container aid is how we started, and whilst it is a smaller part of our ongoing work today, we still send out two containers to Africa each year.

Our most recent container sent in July 2011 has now reached the Kijjabwemi Orphans Project, Uganda, having encountered some issues with customs in both Mombasa and Kampala. The recipients are delighted with the contents which included musical instruments for the school.

Some items were also included for the Matendo Vocational Training Centre in Kibaale and a local Hospital.

Our next container, due to leave by the end of 2011 is bound for the Matendo Vocational Training Centre with equipment required to allow training of the local youth in such things as Tailoring, plumbing, electrics, building etc.

Please pray for safe passage and smooth clearance through customs.
